Joe Rogan Experience #2533 - Diana Pasulka · Aired Jul 30, 2026
Claim summary · not a verbatim quotation
More than 50% of Christians believe in the worldview of Enoch involving watchers and fallen angels.
The finding
What the evidence shows
Polls do show most Christians believe the devil is real. A 2013 YouGov survey found 70% of Protestants and 66% of Catholics did. That is belief in Satan, not in Enoch's specific story of Watchers who fathered the Nephilim. I found no survey that asks Christians about Enoch's worldview, and the speaker framed the 50% figure as a guess. A poll asking Christians about the Watchers or Nephilim story, and showing a majority agree, would flip this.
