MotorTrend's best independent run was 1.98 seconds on a specially prepared drag strip, and on normal surfaces it measured over two seconds. A 1.6 second time is far quicker than either the maker's figure or any independent test. A verified independent test of a stock Plaid reaching 60 mph in about 1.6 seconds would make this verdict wrong.
